Sr Embedded Engineer – Software

Bengaluru, Karnataka
Work Type: Full Time

Digantara is building the world’s first maps for space, Space-Mission Assurance Platform™ (Space-MAP™). Space-MAP™ represents a revolutionary end-to-end infrastructure for sustainable space operations, offering a comprehensive space situational awareness solution that simplifies and strengthens satellite operations in the face of the rapidly expanding commercialization of space.

Space-MAP™ is powered by accurate data gathered by advanced ground/space-based cameras and LiDARs. These sensor systems are built using a suite of reliable Digital boards for CMOS, FPGAs, lasers and detectors.
Digantara is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to help design interface and data management protocols for advanced space surveillance sensors used to track resident space objects. You will be applying your expertise in embedded interface, and communication and data management protocols to develop state-of-the-art software for handling data between satellites and payloads or ground stations.

Why Us?
Competitive incentives, galvanising workspace, blazing team, frequent outings—pretty much everything that you have heard about a startup + you get to work on satellites.
Hustle in a well-funded startup with a flat hierarchy that allows you to take charge of your responsibilities and create your own moonshot.

Responsibilities
  • Build software for PCB boards of critical components like image sensor, FPGA, storage and interface boards.
  • Define and implement interface and communication protocols for data packets handling between the satellite bus and payload.
  • Develop protocols to manage data acquisition and processing of the high-speed data between devices.
  • Ensure device compatibility and effective operations of systems, and test protocols with effective troubleshooting methods.
  • Implement digital calibration protocols and enable remote operations of the systems.
  • Collaborate with fellow embedded hardware and firmware engineers and involve with system level designs and requirement analysis through code development and testing.
