Space-MAP™ represents a revolutionary end-to-end infrastructure for sustainable space operations, offering a comprehensive space situational awareness (SSA) solution that simplifies and strengthens satellite operations in the face of the rapidly expanding commercialization of space.
We are seeking a proficient Astrodynamics Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building efficient and scalable mathematical algorithms to solve various operational orbital mechanics and Space Domain Awareness challenges.

Why us?

  • Competitive incentives, galvanising workspace, blazing team, frequent outings—pretty much everything that you have heard about a startup, plus more of the satellite/rocket stuff—perhaps handle a satellite or lean on a rocket.
  • Hustle in a well-funded startup with a flat hierarchy that allows you to take charge of your responsibilities and create your own moonshot.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop and test various mathematical intensive algorithms for SSA applications.
  • Perform orbit determination and orbit propagation of space objects using tracking data from ground-based and space-based sensors.
  • Support the design, integration, testing, and operation of the SSA systems and technology chain.
  • Conduct research and development on emerging technologies such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing for SSA.
  • Actively participate in writing and publishing technical white papers, journals, proposals etc.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors, Masters or Ph.D. in astrodynamics, aerospace, mathematics, physics or a relevant discipline.
  • Significant aptitude with computational astrodynamics/orbital mechanics, perturbation theories, vector algebra, numerical methods, computer science & data science.

Preferred Qualities:
  • Demonstrated experience in Python/MATLAB/C/C++, scientific computing methods and parallel programming techniques.
  • Basic understanding of working with Linux based systems, and handling version management using Git.
  • Familiarity with software packages/tools such as GMAT, STK, FreeFlyer, Orekit, etc.
  • Basic understanding of probability, statistics and control theory.
  • Skilled in creating detailed technical reports, contents, manuals, and operational guidelines.

General Requirements:
  • Ability to take direction and work independently.
  • Interpersonal skills to enable working in a diverse and dynamic team.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Writing and delivering technical documents and briefings.
  • Verbal and written communications skills as well as organizational skills.
